September is Suicide Awareness
Many challenges surface when someone you love is facing mental health concerns. Here are a few important resources that may help.
Grief Relief, provides individual and group support to anyone who has experienced grief in their life. They are a free service located at the Agnesian HealthCare Bereavement Center, 1161 W. Johnson Street in FDL. Phone number: 920-907-3940
Yscreen, is a screening instrument that looks at any red flags or concerns towards emotional wellness. All 9th grade students have the opportunity to be screened. YScreen is also available to middle school students upon request.
School Counseling support. I serve all students in need of academic, personal, social and emotional support. Please reach out to me as concerns develop.
I would like to express my support and extend a little extra strength to all those touched by grief (whether it was recent or years ago). I know that the journey is never easy and resurfaces at significant times in our lives. Having conversations with kids about grief and loss can be difficult.
