Kim Broten
A Little About Me:
Hello, my name is Kim Broten and I am honored to be your child's school counselor. This is my 18th year at Bessie Allen and I absolutely love working with middle school students. I truly believe middle school students are THE BEST! Every day is new and exciting. Middle schoolers have a unique energy that I find fun and engaging.
We have an incredible community here at Bessie Allen. With approximately 315 diverse learners, I work with colleagues to support the academic, personal, social and emotional needs of all students. I also work to support our district goal of ensuring all NFDL graduates be college, career and life ready.
The avenues I use to serve students include classroom visits, individual and group counseling. My classroom topics can be found by clicking on the respective grade level links located on the home page. I also strive to team with parents and other community members in hopes of bringing comprehensive and quality services to students.
Thank you for visiting my page. Please stop back from time to time as I try to update things regularly with information and helpful resources.

My Family
Outside of work, my very favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. Some of you may know my husband, Adam, who also works for the School District of North Fond du Lac. He has worn many hats in the district, but for the last few years he has settled into his role as Director of Teaching and Learning.
Adam and I have three children: Lukas, Macy, and Levi. We also have a fur child named Peper. As a family we enjoy traveling, playing games, attending sports events, watching plays/musicals, and spending time with extended family.
